Challenge
The video consumption and conversion rates of African users were lower than the average and the team needed a discovery hub to boost the growth of the content verticals.
Solution & Impact
I collaborated with the regional and content managers to build a microsite to promote diverse categories, including sports, food, entertainment, and beauty/care on TikTok.
The series of microsites has become a one-stop destination for users to discover new content across Sub-Saharan Africa. It is also the first microsite template for promoting high-priority categories in the market, and was shared with the broader Content team for consideration in future campaigns.

Video Carousel for more content
By Partnering closely with category managers, I was able to curate and update the videos of new creators and paid partnerships on a weekly/bi-weekly basis.
Random card section for new creators
For the bottom part of the page, I’ve created a 3-4 second motion graphic with a playful interaction before users randomly discover a 'new creator to follow' based on their interests in specific verticals.
